Polygonatum cirrhifolium rhizome contains glucose, sucrose and two new steroidal saponins sibiricoside A and B. The main ingredients of n-butanol extract of rhizomes are steroid terpenoide, polysaccharides, phenol and stannin. Recent spectroscopic studies identified following compounds, α-L-rhamnopyranosyl, β-D-glucopyranoside, dauvosterol, β-sitosterol, 6-nonadecenoic acid, 6-stearic acid and one inorganic compound.
