Emaciation
emaciation is a condition in which the body is deprived of essential nutrients, such as vitamins and minerals, and is characterized by extreme thinness and weak muscles. It is usually caused by a prolonged period without adequate nutrition, and can be a result of an eating disorder, such as anorexia, or a long-term illness. Symptoms of emaciation include extreme weight loss, fatigue, muscle weakness, pale skin, brittle hair and nails, and sunken eyes. Medical emaciation can be life-threatening if left untreated, as it can lead to organ failure, heart failure, and eventually death. Treatment for medical emaciation includes restoring proper nutrition, either through dietary changes or nutritional supplements, as well as lifestyle changes to improve overall health. In extreme cases, hospitalization and medical intervention may be necessary.
