Stomachache
Stomachache, also known as abdominal pain, is a common medical symptom that can be caused by a variety of medical conditions. Most of the time, stomachache is caused by indigestion, gas buildup, or eating something that didn’t agree with you. It can also be caused by eating too much, drinking too much, or eating too quickly. In more serious cases, stomachache can be caused by an infection, an ulcer, an obstruction, or a tumor. Stomachache is characterized by a cramping or burning sensation in the abdomen that can range from mild to severe. It may also include nausea, vomiting, bloating, and a feeling of fullness. Depending on the cause, pain may be localized to one area or may spread to other areas, such as the back or shoulder. Treatment for stomachache will depend on the underlying cause. For indigestion and gas, antacids or over-the-counter medications may be recommended. For more serious conditions, such as an infection or obstruction, medical attention may be necessary. In some cases, surgery may be required to treat the underlying condition.
