Carbuncle
Carbuncle is a type of skin infection caused by bacteria. It is a severe and deep form of a skin infection that is often found on the back of the neck, buttocks, or thigh, but can be found anywhere on the body. It is typically characterized by a cluster of red, swollen bumps that are filled with pus and can be very painful. The infection may spread to surrounding tissue and cause fever and fatigue. Carbuncles are caused by the same type of bacteria that cause boils, and they often appear in the same areas of the body. They are usually caused by a combination of bacteria, including Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pyogenes, and other bacteria. Carbuncles can be treated with antibiotics, but in some cases, drainage may be necessary to remove the pus and help the infection heal. In extreme cases, surgery may be needed to remove the infection. It is important to seek medical attention as soon as possible to prevent the infection from spreading.
