Ruellia tuberosa L. (VUM097/11) Whole plant body (tuber, bark, root) Lycopene, carotenoid, tocopherol, saponin, flavonoids (Manikandan & Doss 2010). Anti-nociceptive, anti-inflammatory properties (Alam et al. 2009), diuretic, anti-diabetic, antipyretic, analgesic, antihypertensive, gastro-protective, and to treat gonorrhea (Lans 2007).
