Natural Iron

Iron is a vital mineral that plays a crucial role in various bodily functions. However, the absorption of non-heme iron is generally lower than that of heme iron. Consuming vitamin C-rich foods along with non-heme iron sources can enhance its absorption.

Iron deficiency is one of the most common nutrient deficiencies worldwide and can lead to anemia, fatigue, weakness, and impaired cognitive function. On the other hand, excessive iron intake can also be harmful and may cause gastrointestinal distress and other health issues.

The recommended daily intake of iron varies depending on factors such as age, sex, and life stage. It's important to consume iron-rich foods as part of a balanced diet to maintain optimal health and prevent deficiencies.
