Artemotil, also known as β-arteether, is a medication used to treat malaria, specifically chloroquine-resistant Plasmodium falciparum malaria and cerebral malaria cases . It is a fast-acting blood schizonticide, which means it kills the malaria parasite during the stage when it is in the red blood cells.

Artemotil is a semi-synthetic derivative of artemisinin, a natural product found in the Chinese plant Artemisia annua. It is currently only used as a second-line drug in severe cases of malaria, meaning it is typically used when other medications have not been effective.
