Uterorelaxant
Uterorelaxant is a type of medicine that is used to relax the uterine muscles and reduce uterine contractions. It is typically used to treat preterm labor, uterine cramping and other uterine issues. Uterorelaxants work by blocking a hormone called oxytocin, which is responsible for stimulating the uterus to contract. By blocking the release of oxytocin, the uterus is able to relax and reduce the number and intensity of contractions. Uterorelaxants are used in combination with other treatments, such as bed rest, hydration and medication to reduce pain. Uterorelaxants can also be used to help dilate the cervix during labor.
