Sunscreen
Sunscreen is a topical product that helps protect the skin from the sun's ultraviolet (UV) rays. It works by blocking the UV rays from penetrating the skin and causing sunburn. Sunscreen also helps prevent skin cancer, premature aging, and sunburns. The active ingredients in sunscreen work by reflecting, absorbing, or scattering UV radiation. Different active ingredients provide different levels of protection, so it is important to use a sunscreen with an SPF (sun protection factor) of at least 30. Sunscreens are available in a variety of forms, including creams, sprays, sticks, and gels.
