PKC Inhibitor
PKC Inhibitors are drugs or other compounds that inhibit the activity of Protein Kinase C (PKC), an enzyme involved in signal transduction pathways in the body. PKC is involved in a wide range of cellular processes, including regulation of cell growth and differentiation, regulation of metabolism, and the modulation of cell-signaling pathways. PKC inhibitors are used to treat a variety of diseases, including cancer, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and inflammatory diseases. They work by blocking the activity of PKC and thus preventing the activation of downstream signaling pathways that are involved in the disease process. By doing so, they can reduce the progression of the disease or help prevent its onset.
