Cholimimetic
Cholimimetic is a type of medicinal activity that is used to stimulate the production of bile. Bile is a fluid produced in the liver that helps digest fats and absorb certain vitamins and minerals. Cholimimetics work by increasing the secretion of bile from the gallbladder, which helps to breakdown fats into fatty acids which can then be absorbed by the small intestine. Cholimimetics may be used to treat conditions such as gallstones, fatty liver disease, and pancreatitis. They can also be used to improve the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins, such as vitamins A, D, E and K. Additionally, they can be used to help improve digestion and reduce cholesterol levels.
