Cancer Preventive
Cancer preventive medicine is a branch of medicine that focuses on reducing the risk of developing cancer through lifestyle changes, early detection, and treatment. It is based on the idea that cancer can be prevented or at least the risk for developing it can be significantly reduced through lifestyle changes such as diet, exercise, avoiding smoking and alcohol, and other behaviors. It also emphasizes early detection and treatment of pre-cancerous lesions and cancer. This can be done through regular screening such as mammograms and colonoscopies. Other strategies may include vaccinations against certain cancer-causing viruses, and taking medications that may reduce the risk of developing certain types of cancers.
