Antithromboxane

Antithromboxane is a medication that works to prevent the formation of blood clots. It does this by blocking the action of a hormone called thromboxane A2. This hormone is responsible for the contraction of blood vessels and the aggregation of platelets, which can lead to clotting. Antithromboxane works by inhibiting the production of thromboxane A2, which helps to reduce the risk of clot formation. It is often used to treat and prevent deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE). It can also be used to treat unstable angina, a condition in which the narrowing of the coronary arteries can cause chest pain. Antithromboxane is available as a tablet, injection, or infusion.
