Antiseborrheic
Antiseborrheic is a medicinal activity that is used to treat seborrheic dermatitis. This is a skin condition that is characterized by redness, scaly patches, and oiliness of the skin. The goal of antiseborrheic medication is to reduce the production of sebum, an oily substance that occurs naturally on the skin. This is accomplished by blocking the production of certain enzymes that are responsible for the production of sebum. In addition, antiseborrheic medications may also contain ingredients that help reduce inflammation, which can help reduce the itching and discomfort associated with the condition. Antiseborrheic medications are typically applied topically and may include shampoos, creams, ointments, or lotions.
