Antiproteinuric
Antiproteinuric medicines are used to treat patients with proteinuria, a condition in which the body excretes too much protein in the urine. Proteinuria can be caused by a variety of conditions, including kidney disease, diabetes, and hypertension. Antiproteinuric medicines work by decreasing the amount of protein that the body excretes in the urine. They do this by either blocking the production of proteins that are causing the proteinuria or by decreasing the amount of protein that is reabsorbed in the kidneys. In some cases, these medicines may also help reduce inflammation in the kidneys. The most common antiproteinuric medicines are ACE inhibitors, angiotensin II receptor blockers, and diuretics. These medicines can help reduce proteinuria and reduce the risk of kidney damage.
