Antidote
An antidote is a substance that can neutralize or counteract a form of poison. There are many types of antidotes that work against different types of poison. For example, activated charcoal is used as an antidote for many types of ingested poisons, while N-acetylcysteine is used as an antidote for acetaminophen overdose. Antidotes work by binding to the poison and preventing it from being absorbed into the body. In some cases, the antidote will also break down the poison in order to make it less toxic. Antidotes can be administered either orally, intravenously, or through injection depending on the type of poison. Antidotes are an important part of medical care and can be life-saving in cases of poisoning or overdose. It is important to seek medical attention immediately if you suspect you or someone else has been poisoned, as the sooner the antidote is administered, the better the chances of successful treatment.
