Antidote arsenic

An antidote for arsenic is a medication or other substance that is used to counteract or neutralize the effects of arsenic poisoning. Arsenic is a highly toxic element that can cause a range of adverse effects when ingested, inhaled, or absorbed through the skin. Symptoms of arsenic poisoning can range from headaches, fever, and nausea to vomiting, diarrhea, and even death. Treatment typically involves taking an antidote, such as dimercaprol, BAL (British Anti-Lewisite) or edetate calcium disodium (CaEDTA). These medications bind to the arsenic in the body, preventing it from entering the cells and causing further damage. In addition, supportive measures such as fluids, electrolytes, and oxygen may be given to alleviate the symptoms associated with arsenic poisoning.
