Antiaromatase

Anti-aromatase is a type of medicine that inhibits the activity of the enzyme aromatase. Aromatase is an enzyme responsible for the conversion of androgens into estrogens in the body. By inhibiting the activity of aromatase, anti-aromatase medications can reduce the levels of estrogens in the body. This can be useful for treating certain types of breast cancer, which can be fueled by the presence of high levels of estrogens. Anti-aromatase medications are often used in combination with other anticancer medications to maximize the effectiveness of treatment. They can also be used to treat gynecomastia, a condition in which men develop enlarged breasts due to high levels of estrogens.
