Anti-CNS Tremors

Anti-CNS Tremors is a type of medication used to treat central nervous system (CNS) tremors. It works by blocking the activity of certain chemicals in the brain that cause the tremors. It is typically prescribed as an adjunct therapy along with other medications to help reduce the severity and frequency of tremors. The main active ingredient in this type of medication is usually a benzodiazepine (e.g. Valium, Xanax, Ativan, etc.), which acts as a sedative and muscle relaxant. These medications can help reduce the intensity of the tremors and make them more manageable. Other anti-tremor medications may also be used to reduce the severity of the tremors. These include beta-blockers, anticonvulsants, calcium channel blockers, and serotonin reuptake inhibitors. In addition, lifestyle changes can be made to help reduce the occurrence and severity of tremors, such as avoiding caffeine and alcohol, maintaining a regular sleep schedule, and avoiding triggers (such as stress or bright lights).
