Allergenic

Allergenic refers to substances that can cause an allergic reaction in certain individuals. These substances can include pollen, dust, food, drugs, or other environmental triggers. Allergens are typically proteins that are present in the environment and can cause an immune response when they come into contact with a person’s skin, eyes, nose, or mouth. When an allergen comes into contact with the body, the immune system produces antibodies that can cause a variety of symptoms, including sneezing, coughing, itching, and difficulty breathing. In more serious cases, anaphylaxis can occur, which can be fatal. The only way to prevent an allergic reaction is to avoid coming into contact with the allergen. However, there are some medications, such as antihistamines, that can be used to reduce the severity of symptoms.
