Wart
A wart is a non-cancerous skin growth caused by a virus, specifically the human papillomavirus (HPV). They can appear anywhere on the body and may be raised, flat, or bumpy. Warts are usually skin-colored, though they may be darker or lighter in color. They are typically small in size, but they may grow larger. Warts can be painful, itchy, and can bleed or spread to other parts of the body. Medical treatment for warts is usually necessary, as they can be difficult to get rid of. Treatment options include topical medications, freezing (cryotherapy), laser therapy, or surgery. Treatment may take several weeks or months to be effective. It is important to avoid picking, scratching, or otherwise touching a wart, as this can spread the virus and make the wart worse.
