Trachosis

Trachosis is a type of eye disorder that is caused by the presence of a foreign body, such as dust, debris, or bacteria, in the eye. It is also known as a conjunctivitis or red eye. Trachosis can range from mild to severe, depending on the type and amount of foreign body present. In some cases, trachosis can lead to scarring of the eye or even blindness. The most common symptom of trachosis is redness and itching in the affected eye. Other symptoms may include pain, a gritty feeling in the eye, a discharge from the eye, blurred vision, or sensitivity to light. Depending on the cause, trachosis can be treated with antibiotics, eye drops, or surgery. In more severe cases, a corneal transplant may be necessary. Trachosis is a very common condition and can be caused by a variety of different things. It is important to note that it can be contagious, so it is important to practice good hygiene and avoid touching your eyes with unclean hands. If you think you may have trachosis, it is important to seek medical attention as soon as possible.
