Tonsillosis
Tonsillitis, also known as tonsillosis, is an inflammation of the tonsils caused by a bacterial or viral infection. It is a common condition, especially in children. Symptoms of tonsillitis include sore throat, fever, difficulty swallowing, swollen lymph nodes, and white patches on the tonsils. Treatment of tonsillitis may include antibiotics, pain relievers, and sometimes, the removal of the tonsils (tonsillectomy).
