Tinnitus

Tinnitus is a condition that affects a person's hearing, causing them to hear a ringing, buzzing, or humming sound in the ears. This sound is not actually coming from the environment around them, and can be a sign of an underlying medical condition. It can be caused by exposure to loud noises, ear damage, a head or neck injury, or even a side effect of certain medications. In some cases, tinnitus can be a symptom of an underlying medical condition such as an ear infection, a tumor, or Meniere's disease. Treatment for tinnitus depends on the underlying cause, and may include medications, sound therapy, or even surgery.
