Tetterworm

Tetterworm is a type of parasite that infects the skin and causes an itchy, red rash. It is typically found in warm, moist areas, such as in the folds of the skin or in the groin area. The rash is caused by an allergic reaction to the parasite. The symptoms of tetterworm include intense itching and a red rash that is made up of raised bumps or blisters. The rash can be very uncomfortable and if scratched, can become infected. Treatment of tetterworm includes over-the-counter antihistamines or hydrocortisone creams to reduce the itching and irritation. If the infection is severe or if the rash does not go away, a doctor may prescribe a stronger medication or antibiotics to treat the infection.
