Tendovaginosis

Tendovaginosis is a type of tendonitis, which is an inflammation of the tendons. Tendovaginosis is a condition that occurs when the tendons become inflamed due to a buildup of pressure, irritation, or injury. This condition can occur in any tendon, but is most commonly seen in the hands, wrists, ankles, and feet. Symptoms of tendovaginosis include pain, tenderness, swelling, and limited range of motion in the affected joints. Treatment for tendovaginosis typically includes rest, ice, compression, and elevation, as well as anti-inflammatory medications, physical therapy, and occasionally surgery if necessary.
