Tendinitis

Tendinitis is an inflammatory condition affecting a tendon, which is a band of tissue connecting a muscle to a bone. It is caused by repetitive use, overstretching, or trauma to a tendon. Symptoms of tendinitis include pain, tenderness, swelling, and a decreased range of motion in the affected area. Depending on the severity of the inflammation, treatment may involve physical therapy, rest, stretching, or anti-inflammatory medications. In some cases, a corticosteroid injection may be necessary. Surgery may be required in severe cases.
