Side Ache
Side ache is a type of pain that occurs in the abdominal area, usually on the right side. It is often felt in the lower right abdomen and can sometimes extend to the lower back. It can range from mild to severe in intensity and can be sharp or dull. Side ache can be caused by various factors, such as gastrointestinal issues, urinary tract infections, appendicitis, kidney stones, or even ovarian cysts. It may also be a symptom of an underlying medical condition, such as irritable bowel syndrome or endometriosis. In some cases, it can also be a sign of an ovarian tumor or a ruptured ectopic pregnancy. The treatment of side ache depends on the underlying cause. For example, if the cause is an infection, antibiotics may be prescribed. If the pain is due to a digestive issue, medications such as antacids or proton pump inhibitors may be recommended. In some cases, if the pain is severe, surgery may be necessary. It is important to see a doctor if side ache persists for more than a few days or if it is accompanied by other symptoms, such as fever, nausea, vomiting, or an inability to pass gas.
