Senile Dementia
Senile Dementia is a form of Dementia that is associated with aging. It is a progressive, degenerative condition that causes a decline in mental abilities, such as memory, reasoning, language and judgment. It is caused by a variety of factors, including certain diseases, drug use, head injuries, or stroke. Symptoms of Senile Dementia may include difficulty with problem-solving, confusion, difficulty understanding language, changes in mood or behavior, and difficulty with activities of daily living. As the disease progresses, symptoms become more pronounced and eventually can lead to a complete loss of function. The exact cause of Senile Dementia is not known, but there are several theories. It is believed that changes in the brain caused by aging may be one contributing factor. Other theories suggest that genetic factors, environmental factors, or a combination of both may be involved. Treatment of Senile Dementia includes medications, lifestyle modifications, and supportive care from family and friends to help manage symptoms and slow the progression of the disease.
