Pyelosis
Pyelosis is a medical condition in which the kidney or bladder becomes inflamed and swollen due to a bacterial infection. This infection is usually caused by a type of bacteria called Escherichia coli (E. coli). Symptoms of pyelosis include abdominal pain, fever, chills, nausea, vomiting, and an increase in the frequency of urination. Treatment for pyelosis typically involves antibiotics, such as amoxicillin and ciprofloxacin. In some cases, surgery may be necessary to remove the infected tissue. The prognosis for pyelosis is generally good with proper treatment.
