Phosphaturia

Phosphaturia is a medical condition in which an excessive amount of phosphate is excreted in the urine. It is often associated with kidney dysfunction and can be caused by a number of different conditions, including renal tubular acidosis, hypoparathyroidism, and vitamin D deficiency. It can also be caused by certain medications such as antacids, diuretics, and phosphates. Symptoms may include increased thirst, excessive urination, and muscle weakness or cramps. Treatment depends on the underlying cause and may include diet modification, medications, or other therapies.
