Nasal Parasinusosis
Nasal paranasinusosis is a condition in which the sinuses are blocked or narrowed, resulting in chronic symptoms of nasal congestion, facial pain, and headaches. It is caused by infection, allergies, or structural abnormalities in the nose and sinuses. The sinuses are air-filled cavities located behind the bridge of the nose and inside the cheekbones. They are connected to the nasal passages and help to humidify and filter inhaled air. When the sinuses become blocked or narrowed, they become filled with mucus and become inflamed. This can result in a variety of symptoms, such as a stuffy nose, sinus headaches, facial pain, and a decreased sense of smell. In some cases, the condition can progress to chronic sinusitis, a more serious condition that can cause long-term damage to the sinuses and other parts of the body. Treatment for nasal paranasinusosis usually involves a combination of medications, such as antibiotics or steroid nasal sprays, and lifestyle changes, such as avoiding allergens, using a humidifier, and drinking plenty of fluids. In some cases, surgery may be necessary to open the blocked sinuses.
