Leucorrhoea
Leucorrhoea or lochiorrhea, also spelled leukorrhea, is the medical term for a watery or milky vaginal discharge. It is a normal part of the female reproductive cycle, and is caused by changes in the hormones that control the thickness of the mucus in the cervix. The discharge is usually whitish or clear in color, and can vary in texture and amount throughout the menstrual cycle. This discharge is usually odorless, but can sometimes have a slight smell depending on the individual. It is important to note that this is a normal occurrence and usually does not require any medical intervention. However, if the discharge has a strong odor, is discolored, or is accompanied by itching or burning, it can be a sign of a more serious issue and should be addressed by a medical professional.
