Ischiosis

Ischiosis is a condition of the hip joint where the joint becomes stiff, immobile and painful. It is usually caused by a joint injury, osteoarthritis, or rheumatoid arthritis. The condition is characterized by pain and limited range of motion in the hip joint. The hip joint is made up of two bones: the femur (thigh bone) and the pelvis. These bones are interconnected by a network of ligaments and muscles. In Ischiosis, the ligaments and muscles surrounding the hip joint are tight, causing the joint to become immobile. This can lead to limited range of motion and pain when the area is moved. Treatment for Ischiosis consists of both medical and physical therapy. Medical treatment usually includes medications such as anti-inflammatory drugs, steroids, and pain relievers. Physical therapy can help the patient regain range of motion and strength in the area. Surgery may be necessary in some cases to correct the problem. Ischiosis can be a very painful and debilitating condition, but with proper treatment it can be managed and the patient can return to a normal life.
