Hypotension
Hypotension is a condition in which a person's blood pressure falls below the normal range. It is also known as low blood pressure. It is usually defined as a systolic blood pressure of 90 mmHg or less or a diastolic pressure of 60 mmHg or less. This can be caused by various factors, such as dehydration, certain medications, endocrine disorders, or an underlying medical condition. Symptoms of hypotension can include dizziness, lightheadedness, blurred vision, confusion, nausea, and fainting. Treatment for hypotension may involve lifestyle changes, such as increasing salt and fluid intake, or medications to lower blood pressure.
