Hemorrhoid
A hemorrhoid is a swollen, inflamed vein in the lower rectum or anus. Hemorrhoids can be caused by straining during bowel movements, sitting for long periods of time, pregnancy, and constipation. Symptoms of hemorrhoids include itching, burning, pain, and bleeding, which can range from mild to severe. Treatment options for hemorrhoids include over-the-counter medications, topical treatments, and surgical procedures. Self-care measures, such as taking warm baths, drinking plenty of fluids, and eating high-fiber foods, are also important in managing and preventing hemorrhoids.
