Gonorrhea
Gonorrhea is a sexually transmitted infection (STI) caused by the bacterium Neisseria gonorrhoeae. It is also sometimes referred to as "the clap" or "the drip". Symptoms can vary from mild to severe and can include a burning sensation when urinating, increased vaginal discharge, and pain or tenderness in the lower abdomen. In some cases, there may be no symptoms at all. If left untreated, gonorrhea can lead to serious health problems, including pelvic inflammatory disease and infertility. Treatment typically involves antibiotics, usually in the form of a pill or injection.
