Furunculosis

Furunculosis is a condition characterized by the presence of one or more boils on the skin. Boils are painful, pus-filled bumps that occur when the hair follicle or oil gland becomes infected, leading to inflammation and swelling. Furunculosis is a type of skin infection caused by the bacteria Staphylococcus aureus. Symptoms of furunculosis include redness, swelling, and pain around the affected area. Treatment typically involves antibiotics, draining the boil, and keeping the area clean and dry.
