Freckle
A freckle is a small, flat, round spot on the skin that is usually tan or light brown in color. Freckles are caused when the body produces too much melanin, a pigment that gives color to the skin, hair, and eyes. Freckles are more common in people with fair skin and are often seen in areas of the body that are exposed to the sun, such as the face, arms, and shoulders. Freckles are not harmful and do not require treatment.
