Forgetfulness
Forgetfulness is a term used to describe a range of memory impairments that can be caused by a variety of medical conditions. These types of memory impairments can range from mild difficulty in recalling information to more severe conditions such as dementia. Some of the most common causes of medical forgetfulness include Alzheimer’s disease, stroke, and traumatic brain injury. Other conditions such as depression, anxiety, and thyroid disorders can also contribute to memory problems. Treatment for forgetfulness will depend on the underlying cause, but can include medications, psychotherapy, and lifestyle modifications.
