Fibroma

Fibroma is a type of benign tumor that is composed of fibrous tissue. It is usually slow-growing and can be found in any part of the body. Fibromas are usually small, round growths that are firm to the touch and can range in size from a few millimeters to several centimeters. They may be single or multiple and can occur anywhere in the body. Fibromas are most often found on the skin, in the soft tissue of the throat and neck, or in the uterus. They are usually benign and do not spread to other parts of the body. Treatment usually involves surgical removal if the fibroma is causing discomfort or if it is in a cosmetically sensitive area.
