Epigastrosis
Epigastrosis is a condition in which there is pain or discomfort in the upper abdomen. It is often felt in the area behind the breastbone (the epigastrium). The pain can range from mild and intermittent to severe and persistent. The cause of epigastrosis is often unknown, but it can be caused by a variety of medical conditions, including indigestion, heartburn, acid reflux, gastritis, ulcers, and gallbladder disease. Treatment for epigastrosis depends on the underlying cause. Treatment may include lifestyle modifications, medications, or surgery.
