Diplopia
Diplopia is a condition where an individual sees two images of a single object instead of one. It is commonly referred to as double vision. The cause of diplopia is usually an underlying eye disorder, such as strabismus, or an injury to the eye or brain. It can also be caused by certain medications or medical conditions, such as diabetes or multiple sclerosis. Diplopia can be treated with corrective eyeglasses, vision therapy, or surgery. Depending on the underlying cause, it may be temporary or permanent.
