Deafness
Deafness is the complete or partial inability to hear. It can be caused by a variety of conditions, including heredity, illness, injury, and aging. It can also be congenital, meaning a person is born with it. A person who is deaf may not be able to understand spoken language. They may also have difficulty with speech and communication. However, many people with deafness are able to use sign language, lip-reading, and other forms of communication to interact with those around them. Deafness can affect a person's ability to function in society, but it does not have to prevent them from living a fulfilling life.
