Chyluria
Chyluria is a condition in which chyle, a milky white fluid containing fatty acids, proteins, and lymphocytes, leaks from the lymphatic system into the urinary tract. It is caused by the abnormal communication between the renal vessels and the lymphatic system. Chyluria can be a symptom of a variety of underlying disorders including filariasis, nephrotic syndrome, schistosomiasis, and lymphatic obstruction. Symptoms of Chyluria include cloudy urine, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, and weight loss. Treatment for Chyluria typically involves lifestyle modifications and medications to reduce the amount of chyle being secreted. Surgery may be necessary in cases where the underlying cause of the condition is an obstruction or blockage of the lymphatic system.
