Chafing
Chafing is a skin irritation caused by friction and/or rubbing of the skin against clothing or other materials. It can occur when clothing is too tight or when skin is rubbed against a rough material. Common areas for chafing include the inner thighs, groin, underarms, and nipples. It can cause skin redness, burning, itching, and pain. In severe cases, it can lead to skin breakdown, infection, and scarring. To prevent chafing, people should wear loose, breathable clothing and avoid rough materials. Additionally, using lubricants or barrier creams can reduce skin friction and discomfort from chafing.
