Cancer larynx

Cancer of the larynx, also known as laryngeal cancer, is a type of cancer that occurs in the tissues of the larynx, which is the part of the throat that contains the vocal cords. It is the most common type of throat cancer, and it accounts for about 3% of all cancers in the United States. Symptoms of laryngeal cancer may include a hoarse voice, difficulty swallowing, a sore throat, ear pain, and a lump in the neck. Treatment may involve surgery, radiation therapy, and/or chemotherapy, depending on the stage and type of cancer. Early detection is key to successful treatment and survival, so people should be aware of the signs and symptoms of laryngeal cancer and seek medical attention if they experience any of them.
