Cancer kidney
Cancer kidney, also referred to as renal cancer, is a type of cancer that develops in the kidneys. The kidneys are two bean-shaped organs, located on either side of the spine in the abdomen. They are responsible for filtering waste products from the blood, maintaining water balance, and producing hormones that regulate blood pressure. Cancer occurs when cells in the kidneys become abnormal and divide uncontrollably, forming a tumor. Depending on the type of cancer, the tumor can be benign (non-cancerous) or malignant (cancerous). Malignant tumors may spread to other parts of the body. Symptoms can include blood in the urine, pain in the lower back or side, a lump in the abdomen, and unexplained weight loss. Treatment may include surgery, radiation therapy, chemotherapy, or immunotherapy.
