Cancer jaw
Cancer jaw is a medical condition that affects the jaw bones, causing them to become weakened or deformed. It occurs when cancer cells spread from other parts of the body to the jaw bones. The jaw bone is made up of several small bones that combine to form the jaw. Cancer cells may enter the jaw bones from other parts of the body and begin to grow and divide. As the cancer cells multiply, they can weaken the structure of the jaw bone, causing it to become deformed and eventually break down. Symptoms associated with cancer jaw include swelling, tenderness, and pain in the affected area. Treatment may include surgery to remove the affected area, radiation therapy, and chemotherapy.
