Bunion
A bunion is a bony bump that forms on the joint at the base of the big toe that connects to the foot. It is caused by a variety of factors, including genetics, wearing shoes that are too small, or having an injury or medical condition that affects the alignment of the bones in the foot. The bunion may cause pain and discomfort when walking, standing, or wearing certain types of shoes. It can also cause redness and swelling in the area. Treatment for bunions may include using pads or orthotics to reduce pain and pressure, stretching exercises to help improve flexibility and alignment, or surgery to correct the deformity.
